Forbes just released the list of 400 American Billionaires on Wednesday. The List did not have any major surprises with Microsoft founder Bill Gates topping the list with 57 billion worth. Legendary Investor Warren Buffet followed him with 50 billion worth assets. Third place was decorated by Lawrence Ellison of Oracle with 27 billion worth. Assets of Warren buffet in particular took a beating because of the turmoil in the markets.
There are 4 Self made billionaires from India on the list. Kavitark Ram Shriram topped Indian US billionaires list at 281 and followed at 321 by two Bharat Desai and Amar Bose. Tech guru Vinod Khosla is at rank 355. Shriram is an investor with Google is the founder of Jungle a shopping site which he sold to Amazon. Khosla is one of the founders of Sun Micro System. This years drop out include the Chief executive of AIG Insurance Mr Maurice Greenberg.

When Forbes released the world billionaires list last year Bill Gates was displaced by Mr Warren Buffet. In the forbes billionaires list last year many Indians entered the top 50 spots.

Large Hadron Collider, collission this week

Scientists re- enacting the moment after the big bang theory have set early next week for colliding the sub atomic particles. It will happen inside the Large Hadron Collider which is 17-mile circumference underground tunnel around the French-Swiss border at The European Organization for Nuclear Research, near Geneva, Switzerland, known by the acronym CERN. People around the world are worried what will happen when the collision takes place. People are worried about the dooms day predictions. There are even scientists worried about what will happen once this happens. There are reports that this will cause black spots. The experiment happens inside Large Hadron Collider which is 17 miles around Geneva. Scientists who are in to this experiment allay the fear of dooms day predictions saying this is one experiment happening in a very small scale and worries are unfounded. They also quoted that this is general reaction to any scientific discovery. Religious groups are also in the forefront fighting against this experiment stating this will hurt their beliefs and stand on how the world formed. World is waiting for the collision that will happen at a speed shade less than the speed of light with bated breath. We need answers to how the world was created and if the experiment could bring the truth then it is welcome.

Federal reserve to bail out AIG

US federal reserve announced unprecedented loan up to 85billion USD to bail out AIG to allay fears about AIG collapsing. Earlier there were reports that Federal reserve asked two of America's banks to finance up to 70 billion USD to help AIG from being bankrupt. Had AIG went the way Lehman brothers it would have had catastrohic effect on US financial market. The news came to open after credit rating agencies down graded the credit rating of AIG.
Federal Reserve also announced that US government will have almost 80 percent of the stakes in the AIG.Every step has been taken to protect the government and the US people before entering the contract. The loan has been collateralized against all the assets of AIG. Later treasury secretary said he approved the deal. He also agreed that these are challenging times for the financial markets in America and we are with Federal reserve in its endeavor to stabilize the market.

Us Insurance giant AIG ( American International Group) is racing against time to raise 70 to 75 billion dollars by Wednesday. This comes after the collapse of Lehman brothers which went in to bankruptcy. Markets, Investors and people around the world are focused on AIG would be able to raise the amount. Collapse of Lehman brothers sounding alarm bell on Wall street and other international markets. Financial experts warning about recession in America for long time now. AIG incident comes after another important Bank Merrill Lynch was bought out of trouble by Bank of America.

AIG incident is ringing alarm bells inside India with Reserve Bank of India asking Tata AIG about their finacial position. AIG has two insurance tie up in India with Tatas. Another incident is ICICI seems to in deep trouble with its Overseas branches having bonds issued by Lehman brothers worth nearly 350 Crores. The news already made great negative impact on Indian stock market with stocks closing flat after trading low.

Wall Street journal informs us that US Federal Reserve asked two important banks in America Goldman Sachs Group and JP Morgan Chase to support AIG by making loans available to it.

AIG has more than 70 million customers worldwide who would find themselves without Insurance if AIG goes bankrupt. Shares of AIG are trading very low after the incident reported. Main credit rating agencies are downgrading AIG.

India Us Nuclear deal.

President Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan singh Announce 123 agreement.

India and America are very close to clinch a nuclear deal or 123 agreement as the name of the agreement goes. People raising all sorts of questions and arguments regarding this agreement in India and United states. Senators and congress men are busy reading the text of the agreement while India raised exception to the accompanying note issued by president Bush that this agreement will have no legal binding on America.
Both Obama and Mccain have come in support of the deal. There are some congress men who have reservation about the deal. In India opposition have heavily criticized Prime minister Manmohan Singh for the deal. But General Opinion is in favor of the deal. It is high time Mr Manmohan showed some charactor and he did that admirably in context to nuclear deal.
There will be un ending discussions on who the deal is favoring in the political and the national circle. The truth is that the deal is offering equal benefit to both America and India. India can now hope end the islolation on technology and nuclear fuel. It will help India immensely particlularly when India has its sight set on Chandrayaan a mission to the Moon. America the benefit comes from having a strong neighbor who is close to America near China and business sense. Most of the business India is going to do is with Americans. America also has its eye on Indian middle class which is biggest in the world to have benefits from them via business.
